How It Started
By February 2025, I'd moved from keeping systems running to leading how client websites were built and grown. At Final Touch, I stepped into the role of Lead Web Strategist — and for the first time, I wasn't just executing, I was setting direction for a team.
What I Worked On
As the head of the web strategy team, I was responsible for how every client project moved from brief to live site:
- Led 10+ web projects for national and international clients across different industries
- Managed domain, hosting, and server architecture for every client under our care
- Set and enforced pre-launch SEO audits as a non-negotiable step before any site went live
- Coordinated designers, developers, and content writers to keep projects on time and on standard
- Ran Meta Ads campaigns for select clients — handling budgets, audience targeting, and creative briefs
- Set the team's direction toward two long-term growth channels: content-driven blogging and affiliate marketing, positioning client sites to earn organic traffic and revenue beyond one-off projects
Challenges & What I Learned
Leading a small team while still being hands-on with technical decisions is a different skill from doing the work yourself. I had to learn to delegate execution while staying accountable for the SEO standard — because a beautifully designed site that doesn't rank is a site that fails its client. Balancing multiple client timelines simultaneously, without letting quality slip on any one of them, is the discipline this role built in me.
Looking Back
Final Touch is where I proved to myself that I could lead, not just deliver. Setting the team's focus toward blog content and affiliate marketing also pushed me to think beyond "build the site" and into "how does this site actually earn." That shift in thinking is exactly what carried into my specialization in SEO, AEO, and GEO.
