How It Started
My path into digital marketing didn't start with SEO — it started with troubleshooting tickets and server rooms. I joined Bangla City PLC in November 2024 as Assistant IT Officer, straight into a role where every day looked different: a marketing account locked out, a network segment down, a piece of hardware that needed replacing before the next shift started.
What I Worked On
Bangla City PLC ran on an MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) business model with a binary compensation structure — meaning every commission, every downline calculation, every account had to be accurate and available in real time. My job was to keep that entire system running:
- Testing and maintaining the binary-plan MLM marketing software that powered the company's core sales operations
- Managing and troubleshooting LAN/WAN networks across departments
- Maintaining user accounts for marketing personnel and resolving their day-to-day IT issues
- Providing hands-on customer support for internal staff relying on the platform
- Maintaining and repairing IT accessories and hardware across the organization
- Enforcing cybersecurity protocols and data protection standards
- Coordinating IT procurement and vendor relationships
Challenges & What I Learned
Supporting a live MLM binary system is unforgiving — if commission calculations are wrong, real people's earnings are wrong. That pressure taught me two things I still carry into SEO work today: build in checks before something goes live, and communicate technical problems in language non-technical people can actually act on. Marketing staff didn't need a lecture on network protocols; they needed to know when their tools would work again and what to do in the meantime.
Looking Back
This chapter didn't feel like marketing work at the time — but it was the foundation everything else stands on. Understanding how systems, security, and infrastructure actually function is something most people in digital marketing never touch. It's a big part of why I can go deeper on technical SEO than most.
