WebP Converter Pro — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026 · App version 4.1.0

The short version

WebP Converter Pro does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data anywhere except your own computer. It has no analytics, no telemetry, no ads, no accounts, and no network connection of any kind. Everything it does happens entirely on your device.

What the app does with your files

  • Images you convert are read from and written to locations you choose on your own computer.
  • The app never uploads, transmits, or shares any image, filename, or file content over a network — because it doesn't have network access to do so in the first place.

What the app stores locally

Two small files are saved on your own device, never transmitted anywhere:

  • Settings — saved in your OS's app-config directory. Contains your output folder path, quality preference, language choice, and similar preferences.
  • Conversion history — saved in your OS's app-data directory. Contains filenames and timestamps of past conversions, so you can review what you've converted.

Both are plain local JSON files. You can delete them at any time by clearing the app's data through your OS.

Network activity

None. This isn't a policy promise — it's a technical fact anyone can verify: the app's entire source code contains zero HTTP clients, zero fetch calls, and zero networking libraries of any kind. There is no update checker, no crash reporter, and no analytics SDK. You can confirm this yourself by inspecting the source on GitHub, or by watching your firewall/network monitor while the app runs — it will show no outbound connections.

Third-party services

None are used. The app doesn't integrate with any cloud service, CDN, or third-party API.

Children's privacy

The app collects no data from anyone, of any age, so there is nothing to disclose here beyond the above.

Changes to this policy

If this app ever changes to add network functionality (for example, an optional update checker), this policy will be updated first, and any such feature will be clearly disclosed and off by default.

Contact

Questions about this policy or the app's data handling: reach Ahsan Jannat via the contact page or by opening an issue on GitHub.
